Morris Alfred Taylor passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, in Dallas, TX. He was born in Kaufman, TX on December 17, 1949. He was the son of Charles Marshall Taylor and Ida Alene Barber Taylor. He married Donna Camper on August 27, 1994 at Balch Springs Baptist Church in Balch Springs, TX.

Morris worked in many areas during his life, but most recently had retired as a plumbers assistant. He was a member of Long Creek Baptist Church in Sunnyvale, TX. Some of his most enjoyable interests included fishing and food, with stories to match. Before his strokes, Morris never met a stranger. He could talk to anybody and you would think he had known them all his life. He loved to watch westerns, wrestling, and listen to country music.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Camper Taylor; sister, JoAnn Taylor Todd; brother, Ricky Andrea Taylor (Sally); sister-in-law, Mary Todd Taylor; a daughter by a previous marriage, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Marshall Taylor and Ida Alene Barber Taylor; brothers, George Albert Taylor, Ray Allen Taylor, and Billy Charles Taylor; as well as nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 US Hwy 80 E in Sunnyvale, TX. Services will be on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, TX. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Union Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, TX, (6 miles southeast of State Hwy 154, then left (or east) on County Road 1444).
