Myong Sun King

Myong Sun King, born on November 21, 1945, in South Korea, passed away peacefully in her home in Forney, Texas, on August 7, 2026.

Myong was a longtime resident of Forney, where she made her home for more than 40 years. She was employed with Brookshire's in Forney for 10 years, where she enjoyed meeting many people and becoming a familiar, friendly presence in the community.

She found joy in gardening and Christmas lights, and took pride in caring for the things she nurtured. Her family will remember her strength, devotion, and the love she poured into those closest to her.

Her two sons were the light of her life. She gave them abundant love, along with the tough love that reflected her deep care and desire to guide them well.

Myong is now reunited with her beloved husband, Vaughn Ray King.

She is survived by her sons, Randy King and Robert King; her sisters, Chong Sun Coleman and Haeng Sun Speaks; and extended family in Jonesborough, Tennessee.

Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

She will be deeply missed and cherished by all who knew her.
