Nancy Ericson

Nancy Eileen Taylor E ricson died at home in Mesquite, Texas on her 70th birthday from complications of diabetes and heart disease. She was born on October 11, 1955, in Odessa, Texas to parents, Charlie and Mary Taylor.

Nancy graduated from Permian High School in 1974. She worked briefly as a dental assistant in Odessa and then had a long career working for GMAC Finance. Nancy was loving and compassionate to all animals, but especially loved cats and cherished the many she owned throughout her life. She was a loyal and supportive friend. She loved collecting Disney memorabilia and had a large collection of Disney music boxes and cookie jars. Nancy enjoyed doing crafts - especially Christmas ones. She also loved to read, watch murder mysteries, and view all University of Texas sports on TV. Nancy was most proud of and supportive of her son, Geoff, and his family.

Nancy is survived by her son, Geoffrey Ericson and his wife Angela; four granddaughters - Ariel, Ana, Mechelle, and Taylor of Mesquite, Texas; brother, Michael and wife Trisha Taylor of Valdosta, Georgia; sister, Diane and husband Dr. David Beal of Sunnyvale, Texas; a niece, a nephew, and five great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mary Taylor; and infant brother, Henry Lee.

A celebration of Nancy's life will be held by her immediate family in the near future.
