Nicklaus Edayadyil Joseph, affectionately known as Stanley, passed away on June 26, 2023 surrounded by his loving family as he went peacefully into God's arms. He was 70 years old.

His is survived by his wife, Molykutty, and his three sons, Niles, Shelby, and Jaiby.

Stanley was born on September 5 th,1952 to Joseph Edayadyil and Aleyamma Joseph in Kerala,India. He was the 10th child of 13 to a wonderful and blessed family. He is predeceased by Joseph Edayadyil, Aleyamma Joseph, George Joseph, Sunny Joseph, Leelamma Joseph, Jojo Mathew, and Jose Joseph.

He married the love of his life, Molykutty, on May 10, 1976 and immigrated from India to Chicago, IL to start their 47-year life adventure together. In 1976, Stanley started a job at Chicago Wire Crafting Company, where he remained a loyal employee for 24 years. In 2000, he left CWCC to start a business venture with his brother Steven in Conway, AR. In 2002, Stanley and family decided to move to Dallas, Texas. There, he owned and operated his own gas station in Mesquite, TX, from 2005 to 2016. Stanley's life symbolized the classic immigrant success story. His drive and relentless work ethic helped make a better life for his family.

To survive and thrive as an immigrant in Chicago, a person must be tough, strong, and quick on their feet. Stanley had all those traits in spades, and it made him a perfect fit for the blue-collar Windy City. Stanley and Moly worked hard their entire lives to create the same opportunities for other family members. They opened their home to their siblings and supported them as they got on their feet in the States. They also provided for their family in India and made sure their loved ones would want for nothing.

Family, chosen and blood, meant everything to Stanley. He cherished spending quality time with those he loved. Any family occasion, big or small, near or far, he would make certain to attend with his wife and children in tow. This is where he shined.. holding court with his extended family and community. His jovial nature made it easy; he was an entertaining story-teller and an affectionate man. He loved to socialize and make everyone laugh with his quick wit. He often garnered the attention of small audiences at community picnics, parties, camp outings, and any function he attended.

Stanley was a die-hard Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan, an elite card player, and a stylish, savvy dresser. He commanded any room he walked into with his casual confidence and swagger. His natural charisma and charm drew in everyone around him. It was almost like he possessed an unseen gravitational pull. That was Stanley's gift; he could make friends anywhere he went. If you weren't his friend already, it was only because you had not met him yet. These endearing qualities made him a favorite of anyone who was blessed to have him in their lives. He is, and will always be beloved by many.
