Philip Chandy: A Life Remembered
Born on October 7, 1951, Philip Chandy was the youngest of five children to V.V. Chandy and Aleyamma Chandy of the Varapathra-Puthiyaparampil House. His siblings were the late Mr. George P. Chandy, Mrs. Annamma Mathew, Mrs. Thankamma Philip, and the late Mr. P.C. Kurian.
He grew up and completed his education in Kumarakom, Kerala. In his youth, he was an avid badminton player in college and also an actor, receiving the Best Actor award from CMS. After graduating, he worked as a branch manager for KTC in Agra, Delhi.
In 1977, he moved to the United States and later settled in the Dallas area. Over the years, he worked for many companies throughout Dallas and eventually retired from the Dallas County Sheriff's Department.
Philip Chandy is survived by his wife Aleyamma Chandy of Modisseril- Chembikalam. He was blessed with four children and their spouses: Binu and Susan, Bindu and Joby, Beena and Febin, and Ben and Anju.
He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Joshua, Rohan, Rohit, Rian, and Zeena. He led a life marked by generosity, kindness, and a deep love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
