Phyllis “Adelle” Bilbrey was a caring, loving, giving - wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She left this world to be with our Heavenly Father on May 28, 2022, at age 76. She passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, Tammy Lewis.
She was born to John Joseph & Phyllis Adelle Patterson on March 13, 1946. She grew up in Dallas, Texas where she later met the love of her life, Larry Bryan Bilbrey and they married on January 19, 1968. Together they had 2 children: Tammy and Bryan.
Adelle is survived by her daughter, Tammy Lewis, son-in-law, Rodney Lewis, daughter-in-law, Julie Bilbrey, her brother & sister-in-law, Jody & Mary Jane Patterson, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry Bryan Bilbrey Sr., her son, Larry Bryan Bilbrey, Jr., and her brother & sister-in-law, William Robert & Tonya Marie Patterson.
Adelle loved spending time with her 6 grandchildren: Brandon Bilbrey, Justin Lewis, Brittney Bilbrey, Cody Lewis, Brett Bilbrey, and Taylor Lewis. She shared the same love and pride for her 3 great grandchildren: Jackson Lewis, Peyton Jackson, and Nolan Bilbrey. Family was everything to Adelle. She enjoyed time spent with family, whether it was baking, playing games, doing puzzles, singing the “Boom Boom Didim Datim Watim – Shoo” song or just watching a movie. She loved life and loved The Lord.
Our precious mother also enjoyed gardening, watching, and listening to birds outside on the back porch, crocheting, and reading her Bible. She loved listening to and reading about Elvis. She enjoyed following Mark Lowery on Facebook and listening to him sing hymns. She enjoyed following the Facebook show, “Cooking with Brenda Gantt”.
Adelle and Larry were very involved in the Dallas Bowling Association for many years, where they made wonderful lifelong friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Adelle on Saturday, June 18 at 10:00 a.m., at CLIFE Church, located at 610 Hwy 80 E., Sunnyvale, TX 75182. Burial services will be private for immediate family.
