Carolyn Trammell

Phyllis Carolyn Ely Trammell, lovingly known as "Granny T," was born November 13, 1943, in Texarkana, TX

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Ely and Ruby (Fort) Ely; her husband, Boyce Trammell; and her brother, Howard Ely.

Carolyn was survived by Margaret and David Rice, nieces, nephews, and friends who love her dearly. Carolyn was truly one of a kind. She loved playing piano, especially in church.

Carolyn graduated from college in East Texas. She spent time working in Virginia before moving to Dallas. She brought intelligence and grace to everything she did.

On December 9, 2025, at the age of 82, Carolyn passed peacefully in her sleep. We know her as a woman of faith, warmth, and quiet strength. Her legacy of love endures in all our hearts.
