Randy Walter Lawson

Randy Lawson passed away in his home in Mesquite, Texas on March 8, 2021. Randy was born in Terrell, Texas on September 15, 1960 to parents Jesse and Patsy Lawson. Randy spent his youth in Mesquite and graduated from Mesquite High School in 1979. He married his sweetheart, Suzanne Blakely Lawson, on January 3, 1987. Together they celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary in January of 2021. He was diagnosed with Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis in 1995 at the age of 34. He retired from Dallas Pest Control in 2002. In 2007, Randy began working on a Mesquite Veteran’s Memorial and through years of hard work was able to see it completed in November 2020. They were blessed with one son, Patrick Lawson, a daughter-in-law, Vanessa Lawson, and two grandchildren - Mikaela and Ian. His family is greatly comforted knowing he is now safe and secure resting in the everlasting arms of the eternal God. Randy is preceded in death by his father, Jesse. He is survived by his mother, wife, son, and brother - Steve Lawson, sister - Donna Byrd, and many other extended family members.
