Raymond McCallum

March 17, 1958 — April 27, 2025

Raymond Dale McCallum, was born on March 17, 1958 and passed from this life on April 27, 2025, at the age of 67. He was born and lived in Dallas most of his life and attended Bryan Adams High School.

By age 13, Raymond began taking karate, which quickly became and stayed his biggest passion in life. His dedication and love of martial arts led him to becoming one of the most highly decorated fighters, winning 5 world championships. He was widely known for his innovative and unique fighting style often pulling out moves the crowd had never seen before, which garnered him a large following throughout and after his career. Raymond traveled the world competing in and winning tournaments world wide. He also spent a large part of his career giving back to the sport, mentoring many students to achieve high levels of success in the sport as well.

Raymond spent a large portion of his life traveling. And when he traveled he always took his motorcycles, which was his second passion. Raymond loved to ride his bikes every chance he got, he'd turn down plane rides and whatever came with it just to ride his Harley across the country. He also loved the outdoors, hiking, camping, hunting, skiing, sailing and all the rest. Raymond loved to share all of these things with those around him and he was all about the journey. He always made sure that the people around him knew how much he loved them and how much he appreciated the time spent together.

Raymond is survived by his son, Parker McCallum; niece, Jessico Raimo; girlfriend, Carol Poe; and many others in the McCallum family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Harold McCallum; mother, Maxine Case; sister, Phillis Jean McCallum; and nephew, Raymond McCallum ("little Ray").

Raymond will leave behind an incredible legacy having impacted thousands, his love for others being a defining characteristic.

John 15

"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things... So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love." - I Corinthians 13:4-7, 13
