Robert Emmet Eberwein (Bob) was born on May 17, 1942 in St. Paul, Kansas, the youngest of five children. He passed away peacefully from natural causes on February 18, 2026 at Cambridge Court Senior Living in Mesquite, Texas where he lived the last ten months of his life. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Darlene Eberwein, son Jeff (Julia) of Old Greenwich, CT, and son Scott (Andreza) of Dallas. His seven grandchildren are Anna, Sophia, Thomas, Ava, Chloe, Logan, and Olivia. Robert will be remembered by family and friends for his fun sense of humor, he loved to joke around and at times act a little onery.
He excelled in baseball and basketball during his youth, played baseball for a year at Wichita State University. He loved college football and especially Kansas State games. He always liked to root for a good underdog.
Robert was a life insurance agent most of his adult life. He had a strong moral compass and genuinely enjoyed helping others. He liked to frequent local coffee shops (Waffle House most notably!) where he could relax and engage others.
Robert was a fun-loving husband, father, uncle, and grandfather.
Robert was preceded in death by father Hiram, mother Elizabeth, and his three brothers John, Francis, and Dennis. He is survived by his sister Jane Ann.
