Robert Lee Pierce passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026 at the age of 89.

Robert was born March 20, 1937 in Owensboro, Kentucky to Ruby and Lyman Pierce. He attended Southwest Assembly of God College in Waxahachie, Texas where he met Freddie Jean Jones. They married in Antlers, Oklahoma on August 27, 1960.  In 1966, their only child, Stephanie, was born.

Robert worked as a Sales Manager for Central Freightlines for over 30 years. Robert then sold cars at Jupiter Chevrolet in Dallas and at Lakeside Chevrolet in Rockwall, Texas. Robert had a love for music and was the Choir Director at Urban Park Assembly of God Church in Dallas Texas for many years.

Robert was proceeded in death by his parents, Ruby and Lyman Pierce; father and mother in-law, Jack and Hazel Jones; brother, Bill Pierce; brother-in-law, Bob Hibdon; brother-in-law, Johnny Jones; brother-in-law, Horace Jones; and sister-in-law Gloria; sister-in-law, Diane Jones; sister-in-law, Dora Echols; and brother-in-law, Shelby Baucum.

Robert is survived by his wife, Freddie Pierce; daughter, Stephanie Sutton and husband David; grandsons, Zachery Sutton and wife Joy, and Hunter Sutton; great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Emmarie, Gabriella, Jase, Luke, Theo, Aubri and Felicity Sutton; brother, Donald Pierce and wife Nancy; sisters, Diane Hibdon, Sharon Johnson and husband Wavy, Barabra Smith and husband Ed, and Alisa Witherspoon and husband Barry; brother-in-law, Arthur Jones; sister-in-law, Martha Thomas and husband Donnie; brother-in-law, Charlie Jones and wife Diana; sister-in-law, Nanine Parker and husband Kevin; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Funeral Home (500 US Hwy 80 Sunnyvale, Texas 75182) with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m..
