Walter Sloan Robinson

Walter Robinson, of Mesquite passed away peacefully on September 7, 2021 at
the age of 86.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Walter was born on Christmas day 1934 in Dallas to Walter Sloan Robinson Sr.
a journalist and Elizabeth Parkes Robinson, a schoolteacher.
He married Patsy Ann Coffey of Ferris on April 6, 1963.

Preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Eunice Robinson Aragon and
Harry Parkes Robinson.

Walter graduated from Mesquite High School and attained both a Bachelors
and Masters degree from North Texas State. He went on to earn a PhD in
History from Texas Christian University. He spent most of his career in various
educational institutions in Texas.

He is survived by his wife Patsy; daughter and son-in-law Andrea and John
Bertrand of Dallas, son John Walter Robinson of Southlake; grandchildren
Caitlin Munro and husband Andrew, Jenna Sloan Robinson, Mackenzie
Brynne Bulloch, Jake Bennett Robinson and Austin Bertrand and wife Kendall;
Brother-in-law Modesto Aragon and niece Eunice Elizabeth Aragon.
A private graveside service will be at Chisholm Cemetery.
