Listen to Obituary

Rosa Mejia was born on November 20, 1969, in Arcelia, Guerrero, Mexico, and went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2026, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. She was hardworking, strong, and brave, lovingly guiding her family with both a mother's care and a father's firmness. Rosa cherished time with her family, enjoyed traveling, listened to music, and danced to her own rhythm. Those who knew her remember her as joyful, warm, and friendly. Proud of her roots in Guerrero, Mexico, she loved the blue ocean waters and often centered her vacations around the beach. She valued her moments talking to her "Mongolas' and her time on Facebook.

Rosa was self-employed and traveled to and from Mexico with her business Transporte Rosy Services. She had her own way of doing things and valued items that served a purpose for her, even when others may have considered them useless. She was like a personal concierge on the roads of Mexico, familiar with countless places and restaurants along the way. For more than 25 years, she served her clients with warmth, kindness, and a positive attitude, and many later became friends.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Jonathan Alvarado; her three daughters, Elisandra Martinez (David), Emily Arriaga (Oscar), and Marta Gomez; and her eight grandchildren, April, Giovanni, Gabriel, Aaron Jr., Isabella, Gemma, Gianna, and Alison. Her love also extended to her fur-grandson, Rhys.
