Ruby Curtis, age 93 of Mesquite, Texas peacefully entered her heavenly home on February 15, 2024. Ruby was born on July 12, 1930 in Dallas, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Alice Pool; brother, RL Parsons; husband, William Marriott; husband, Calvin Curtis and daughter, Phyllis Kyser.
Ruby is survived by her beloved daughters Cherle Collier of Mesquite, Texas, Twila Green (Greg Green) of Mesquite, Texas and son-in-law Gary Kyser (Tonja Kyser) of Edgewood, Texas. Ruby is also lovingly survived by her 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson, 1 expected great-great granddaughter as well as numerous nieces and nephews - all very blessed to call her "Nanny" or "Memmaw".
As a young woman, Ruby accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior while attending Five Points Baptist Church. She later joined Liberty Baptist Church with her family and faithfully served in the children's nursery. Ruby lastly attended and served at Friendship Baptist Church with her daughter Cherle along with many of their long-time church family and friends. Ruby's kindness was unmatched, and she greatly cherished and loved her family and friends. Most of all Ruby loved Jesus and she proudly shared that love and faith with everyone that she met.
The family would like to sincerely thank Shannon and Victoria for the generous care, support and love that they showed Ruby during the past few months.
