Ruby Lewis

Ruby Lewis was born on October 24, 1930 in Terrell, Texas to Lish and Waleska Roland.  Ruby attended school in Forney where she met the love of her life, OJ Lewis.  Ruby & OJ were married for 66 years.  On August 9, 2021 Ruby Lewis left this earth to join our Heavenly Savior & her late husband. 

She was a devoted wife, loving mother and enjoyed being a grandmother and great-grandmother to not only her family but to everyone around her.  Sunday lunches and Christmas Eve gatherings were always her favorite ways to love on her family & friends.  She retired from Southland to selflessly care for her mother & other family members. Anyone that knew "Granny" was always family to her.

Ruby was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, OJ Lewis.  Ruby is survived by her son Judd Lewis and wife Annette, grandson Bradley Lewis and his wife Jennifer, granddaughter Rebecca Hyde and her husband Jason, great-grandsons Cash and Brayson, great-granddaughters Sadie and Dani, and numerous family and friends.  

Graveside services will be held Friday, 10 am, August 13 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Forney, Texas.
