Honoring the Life of Samuel Daniel (May 27, 1948 - March 20, 2022) Bro. Samuel Daniel was born as the third child of late Mathew Daniel and late Rachel Mathew (Nediyavila House, Odanavattam, Kollam Dist., Kerala). In his home town Bro. Samuel Daniel is respectfully known as Penniel Achayan. His parents were members of the Brethren Church, and later associated with the Pentecostal faith. In an early age itself he was active in the church activities and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior; afterwards, he took the Believer’s Baptism and was filled with the Holy Spirit. He was well knowledgeable in the Scriptures and was passionate in serving the Lord. After high school grduation, he served the Lord in North India by being involved in Operation Mobilization (OM) and India Every Home Crusade. Later he graduated from a Technical College in North India. While he was employed in Delhi, in December 1975, he got married to Marykutty (Manjakkala, Pattazhi). For pursuing better employment prospects he worked in some Middle Eastern Countries. The Lord has blessed Bro. Samuel & Sis. Marykutty with three children: Daisy (wife of Ben Samuel), Subi (wife of Shibu George) and Titus (married to Liji). They are all employed and serving the Lord in various capacities. In June 2009, Bro. Samuel Daniel, with his wife, migrated to the United States. From 2013, he was an active member of Agape Church, Sunnyvale, Texas and served as the Lead Usher for many years. He has used his God-given gift of getting to know people in a short time period and inviting them to come to the church. Through his lay ministry many souls were saved and baptised. This include people from all around the world from other religious faith as well. He was also very passionate in financial giving for the cause of evangelism and world missions. He was a man of prayer; he not only prayed but also passionately helped pastors in fulfilling their task. He lived an exemplary Christian life: As a loving husband; a loving father and grandfather, as an ideal believer. He served the Lord faithfully in words and deeds. This humble man of God upheld his great Christian testimony to the very end, till the Lord called him on March 20, 2022 to his eternal home.
