Sara Beth Conner Roberson was born on New Years Day, January 1, 1937 and left this world singing and praising our lord on April 21, 2026. She was 89 years young and never lost her spunk, her swager, her love for singing, her love for her church and most of all she never lost her love for Jesus or her family.
Beth was preceded in death by her father and mother Joe and Grace Conner, husband and love of her life Herb Roberson, her grandson Zach Roberson and her siblings Moreen, JC, Bill, Estelle, Nelle with one surviving sibling, Betty Holt.
She is survived by her two loving sons and their wives, J R and Bobbie Roberson and Shorty and Lesa Roberson. Her loving grandchildren Jon and Kasi Morley, Leslie and Eloy Benavides, Lauren Roberson, Taylor and Kyle Rembisz and Lindsey and Medgar Coleman. Great Grandchildren Hanna Allen, Murphy Chapman, Brady Morley, Luca Benavides, Lakelyn Coleman, River Coleman, Ella Rembisz and Ivy Rembisz and one Great Great Grandchild, Luella Allen. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews and by so many friends she considered family and of course her church family at Eastfield Baptist Church.
Beth was born in Plano, Texas and raised in the bottoms area that is now under Lake Ray Hubbard. From there she moved to the Rose Hill Community on Lyons Road where she finished school. She graduated from Garland High School and went into the workforce as a book keeper. Somewhere along the way she met the love of her life and in a double wedding with her sister Betty she married our Dad (Herb). Shortly after getting married in 1958 they moved to Mesquite and lived in the area the rest of her life.
She was very involved in her boy’s lives growing up as a sports mom then later she was a sponsor for several years for the North Mesquite Rodeo Team. When grandkids started coming she rarely missed an event or game. She was a member of the Eastfield Baptist congregation of believers for over 40 years and as you probably know she sang every chance she got. She also taught Sunday School while we were growing up and years afterward. She helped with VBS and she was very involved in the ladies group.
She told everyone she met about Jesus and how He had healed her. She also asked if you if you were saved and if not do you want to be. She would tell you how she would be going to
Heaven and wouldn’t you like to join her too! There were several folks at the home who got saved on a regular basis!
We will miss your spunky confident self. We will miss your swagger, your smile and our family history lessons. We will miss those odd trips to the store and of course her stories that never seemed to end. Most of all we will miss her beautiful voice, no longer singing praises here on Earth, now she will be singing in Heaven in person to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ our King.
Won’t you join her?
