Sharron Blankenburg

Sharron Annette Blankenburg was born on September 23, 1953, in Maricaibo Venezuela, where she spent her early childhood. In 1958, her family moved to Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1972.

Sharron spent most of her working life in banking and retired from Dallas Telco Federal Credit Union in 2011.

Sharron had a lifelong love of animals and the outdoors, and horses held a special place in her heart. She was an active member of her equine community and raced horses. Her life was also filled with show dogs and many beloved cats. She was happiest outside, especially at her land in Talihina, Oklahoma.

Sharron was sent home to be with the Lord on October 30th 2026. She was preceded in death by her father, Adolphus Frank Felder, and her brother, Michael Stephen Felder. She is survived by her mother, Polly Ann Felder; her daughter, Erica VanHoozer; her granddaughters, Avery, Kylee, and Kennedy; and her sister, Tricia Blankenmeister, and her husband, Gary.

A service celebrating Sharron's life will be held on Monday, November 30, 2026 at 12:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 US-80, Sunnyvale, TX 75182.
