Listen to Obituary

Shelley A. Martines was born September 30, 1952, in Dallas, Texas, to Elmo and Helen McCrory. She passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026. Shelley confessed her love for Jesus Christ as a young girl and she read out loud during her baptism, "If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

Shelley took great joy in life's simple pleasures-crocheting with care, tending to her flowers, feeding the birds, and watching them gather outside. She also dearly loved her two cats, Cleo and Dazee, and cared for them faithfully. She was devoted to her family and its history, serving as the heart of the family and helping keep everyone connected to their roots.

Shelley loved her family deeply, and her son, Brian, was the center of her world. She also dearly cherished her daughter-in-law, Daravanh, and her granddaughters, Lilliana and Gabriella. She is survived by her brothers, Michael McCrory (Rickie) and Kenneth McCrory (Donna); her nieces and nephew, Allyson, Jennifer, Jared, and Kaylie.

Shelley was preceded in death by her parents, Elmo and Helen McCrory, and her brother, Ronald McCrory.

Shelley leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her until they meet again.
