Sheri Lynn Skidmore

January 12, 1958 — February 7, 2021

Sheri Lynn Skidmore, 63 years of age of Forney, Texas, was called home on February 7, 2021. Sheri was born on January 12, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Wolfgang Heinrich and Barbra Jo King. She was also loved deeply by her step-mother, Carolyn Heinrich, and her step-father, Don Stack. She graduated from Skyline High School, Dallas, Texas where she was active on the drill team and made lifelong friends. She married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth, on January 8th, 1977. Sheri and Kenneth lived in several places during their 44 years of marriage, but her favorite was their home on Lake Cypress Springs where she hosted family gatherings and spent peaceful evenings with Kenneth on the back porch, overlooking the water.

Sheri enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy; they were the light of her life. She would literally shop until she dropped to spoil them rotten, or drive halfway across Texas to watch them do something or to just share a meal. Sheri loved bringing her whole family together at every possible chance. She loved her friends fiercely and considered them a part of her family. No one ever had to ask Sheri what kind of food she felt like eating because her answer would always be Mexican food. She loved traveling with her family and friends. Due to her neverending thoughtfulness, she had a knack for sending the perfect card to everyone at every occasion. Even though she was a people pleaser, her sarcastic, dry sense of humor would always make us giggle. One of the best days of her life was the day Paisley, her sunshine, made her a Nonnie. She was already so in love with her grand baby on the way, Hope JoLynn.

Sheri will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and the endless amount of love she had for everyone. Sheri is survived by her loving husband Kenneth, children Amber Lanphere and husband Tim , Erich Skidmore and wife Lindsay. Grandchildren Paisley, Kenneth, Ty, Rafe, and Hope JoLynn. Sister Teri Hughes and brother Johnny Hodge and his wife Valerie. Brother-in-law, James Skidmore. Step-father, Don Stack and step-mother, Carolyn Heinrich, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins for whom she loved dearly.
