Shizuko Peggy Tomes

Shizuko Peggy Tomes, age 88 of Mesquite, TX, passed away July 12, 2017. She was born March 17, 1929 in Vancouver, Canada, to Migaku & Sumi Tsuji Kanamitsu. She was married to Erwin E. Tomes (Tommy) for 35 years. Peggy retired from the Mesquite ISD where she worked in food service.She was a member of Sunnyvale First Baptist Church where she was very involved in her own humble way for many years. Peggy is survived by children: Sharon Bowling, Peggy Morse, Jeff Tomes, Sandy Newsome, and Bryan Tomes ; grandchildren: Jim Bowling, Angela Bowling, Andrea Hayter, and Scott Morse ; great grandchild: Eleanor Bowling ; nephew: Mike Ussery ; and her loving sons in law: Jim Bowling, Bob Morse, Mike Newsome, and Ray Cox. She was preceded in death by her sister: Toshiko "Penny" Ussery; and her mother and father.
