Steven Richard Iott

Steven Richard Iott of Forney, TX entered eternal rest Sunday, August 8, 2021 at the age of 60.  He passed away of natural causes associated with Alzheimer’s disease.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Lou (Roberts) Iott of Sherman, TX; his father, William Oliver Iott, SR of Auburn, KS; and his sister, Patricia Melgaard of Tulsa, OK.

He is survived by his wife, Betsy Gail (McElyea) Iott of Forney, TX; one daughter, Samantha Kathleen (Iott) Clay of Tulsa, OK; two brothers, William Iott, JR of Allen, TX and David Iott of San Francisco, CA; and two well loved dogs Blue and Georgia.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Bethel Baptist Church, 1224 Hilltop Drive, Grapevine, TX  76051.  All friends and family are invited to attend a luncheon to follow.  In lieu of flowers, “let love melt into memory and pain into songs” and “be the usual selves that I have known”
