Listen to Obituary

Stevens Mathew Samuel, beloved father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, passed away on March 20, 2026 at the age of 46. He was born to the late Samuel Mathai and the late Soosamma Samuel on November 12, 1979 in Queens, NY. Stevens spent his formative years in New York. While there, he endured the untimely death of his father. Soon after Thomas Samuel entered Stevens life and raised the Samuel children as his own until his passing in 2021.

Stevens and his family then moved to Dallas during his 7th grade year. He quickly found his lifelong support through school, church and the Indian community. He grew up surrounded by love, not only from his family but also his friends.

Stevens graduated Mesquite High School. Soon after he began his college career at the University of Texas, Arlington. During his time at UTA, Stevens was known to be hardworking and motivated. He graduated with a Bachelors in Business Management. After graduation he began his career in finance and mortgage lending. Later on in life he was pursuing his Master's in Business Administration and accomplished his lifelong goal of becoming an entrepreneur by starting Texas Shield Roofing.

Stevens lived a life rooted in faith, humility, and service. He began his journey in faith as a young altar boy for St George Orthodox Church in Dallas Texas, in his young adulthood he grew stronger in faith while attending St Mary Church and Mar Gregorios Orthodox Church. On June 28th, 2009 he was baptized and he became a devoted attendee in Non-Denominational faith. His journey included Loft Church, Metro Church, and finally Bent Tree Church where he continued to maintain close relationships with them all. His faith in Christ guided his path in life and was evident on how he loved and served others around him.

Stevens carried himself consistently with integrity and heart. He was known for his heartwarming smile, generous spirit, and his protective nature. Those who knew Stevens will forever remember his steady presence, his loyalty, and his unconditional love. He had a personality that was larger than life with a heart to match. He was a source of strength to all that knew and loved him.

Above all, Stevens cherished his family. He was a pillar of support and a reflection of God's love within his home. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the memories he created, and the faith he passed down to those he loved most.

Stevens took extreme pride on being a devoted father and is survived by his beloved children, Ethan Samuel (12) and Emily Samuel (9); his siblings, Spencer, Stanley and Stacy; in addition to several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who he loved and loved him deeply.

While our hearts grieve his earthly absence, we take comfort in the assurance that Stevens has reunited with the Lord. He brought warmth, laughter, and kindness into the lives of everyone blessed to know him.

May his memory be eternal, and may God grant comfort and peace to all who mourn him.

Stevens you will Always be True Family for all of us.
