He was a devoted husband to his wife, Emily Herrman Baker, loving father to sons, Michael and Chris Baker, and daughter, Sara DeShong Withrow. He was a grandfather to Michael, Alexandra, and Mason Baker, and Kylie Baker. Great grandfather to Olivia Simpson.
