Thomas Lee Hass

Thomas (Tom) Hass, 69 passed away on January 25, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White - Lakepoint suffering a long illness. 

He was born in Dallas, Texas on March 9, 1953, son of the late James and Francis Hass.  He is survived by his wife, Sandy Hass and his two sons, Chris Hass and Richard Hass.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, James and Aaron Hass and his sister, Emily Hale.

Tom retired from the IRS after almost 30 years of service.  He was a voracious reader, always striving to learn and improve his life skills.  Tom also enjoyed shooting at the gun range.  He attained a black belt in Karate.  An avid boy scout, he remained active in and volunteered for his son’s troops as they strived for Eagle Scout status.

Memorial services will be held on February 2, 2022 at 2pm at New Hope Funeral Home located at 500 East Hwy 80 Sunnyvale, Tx 75182 at 2pm.  Viewing and visitation will be held at immediately prior to the service from 12noon – 2pm.  Tom will be laid to rest at Rest land Cemetery located at 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243 at 3:30pm, right after the memorial service.
