Timothy Clifford Yancey

August 21, 1953 — February 13, 2022

Timothy Yancey Sr. (Tim) of Mesquite, TX passed away on 2-13-2022 at Methodist Hospital in Richardson, Texas due to complications with his heart. Tim was born in Dallas, Texas on August 21st, 1953 to Troy and Docia Yancey. He graduated from H. Grady Spruce high school in 1971 where he played saxophone in the band and won several awards for Paint and Body. After high school he worked for Tex-Con where he spent most of his career then settled into life in Mesquite, Texas. There he married the love of his life, Terri Stevens, and together for 42 years they raised 4 boys. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and visiting the casino (often), but his favorite thing to do was to make people laugh. He never missed a chance to bring the joy of laughter to those around him. His infectious charm will be dearly missed. He was proceeded in death by his parents Troy Clifford Yancey and Docia Faye Yancey. He is survived by his wife, Terri Lynn Yancey and their 4 sons, Tim Yancey Jr., Chris Yancey, Jared Yancey and Corey Yancey. His sister Teresa Malone, his brother Lloyd Yancey, his eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Not to mention countless friends, extended family, and others that were like family.
His celebration of life will be held at 2 pm Friday, February 18th, 2022 at New Hope Funeral Home at 500 E. HWY 80 in Sunnyvale, Texas.
