Tracie Jennings, 62, went to be with the Lord after she passed away at home on Mother's Day, May 12, 2024, in Mesquite, TX. She is now free and no longer sick or in pain. Tracie was born on March 1, 1962, at home in Glen Allen, Issaquena County, Mississippi, to Diane Egnew and Wayne Jennings. She graduated from Kilgore High School in 1980 where she was on the Hi-Steppers drill team and active in the Future Teachers of America program. She went on to study Pre-law and Political Science at Tyler Junior College, and later in life completed and obtained both her associate and bachelor's degrees from the University of Phoenix.
After attending Tyler Junior College, she exercised her entrepreneurial spirit and started a successful business in computer services and expanded it to the DFW area where she remained and later held several sales roles which she was well suited for with her outgoing personality and perseverant work ethic. She never met a stranger and remained friends with so many people along the way. Tracie was known for her loving, caring, helpful, and kind ways. She was very charismatic, a great listener, and warmed many hearts.
Tracie is survived by her loving husband Jimmy Beard of Mesquite; daughter and son-in law Lauren and Spencer McNallen of Tyler; grandkids Calvin, Wyatt, and Emerie McNallen of Tyler; step-son Steven Beard of Post Falls, Idaho; step-grandkids Cassie, Brittney, Tyler and Selena; mom Diane Egnew of Terrell; brother and sister-in-law Curtis and Angela Jennings of Heath; sister-in-law Kathy Jennings of Mineola; brother-in-law and wife Max and Jan Beard of Scurry; sister-in-law Yvonne Holmes of Mabank; sister-in-law and husband Carolyn and Ed Angerstein of Sherman; sister-in-law and husband Debra and Fred Smith of Rockwall. She also had a whole host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and so very many friends.
Tracie is preceded in death by her brother Chris Jennings, her father Wayne Jennings, her grandmother Gran Mueller, her stepfather John Egnew, and brother-in-law James Holmes.
The visitation and memorial service will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM with visitation preceding at 1:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyvale, Texas. Flowers and memorial donations can be made in Tracie's name to New Hope Funeral Home.
