Trina Allen

Trina Marie Allen, born on January 21, 1946, in Joplin, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, in Forney, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted Christian, Trina was a beacon of faith and kindness, embracing life with a warmth that touched everyone she met. She cherished her husband, Douglas Allen, whom she met in 1965, marrying him after a brief courtship on January 21, 1966. Together, they crafted a loving home filled with laughter and joy.

Trina was a proud mother to her only son, John Everett Allen, born on October 13, 1967. Her capacity for love extended when she and Doug welcomed her late sister Linda's three sons-Danny, Kenny, and Shawn-into their family, raising them with compassion and grace. After dedicating many years to the local school district, she retired in 2005, leaving behind a legacy of support for countless children.

Art flowed through Trina's soul, and she spent her free time creating beautiful paintings that reflected her vibrant spirit. Family and friends were her treasures, and she found boundless joy in gatherings with loved ones. She is survived by her husband, Douglas Allen; son John and daughter-in-law Kymberly; beloved grandchildren Joni, Scott, Hailee, and Dalton; brother, Orland Athon; and sister-in-law, Cathleen Athon and four great-grandchildren.

Trina's journey on earth has come to a close, but her love and artistry will remain etched in the hearts of those she touched. She will be laid to rest, ensuring her spirit continues to shine brightly among us.

Trina was preceded in death by: her sister Linda Bishop, father Orland Athon, and mother Sally Athon.
