Troy Knowlton, 83, passed away on March 25, 2022, in Kaufman, Texas. He was born on December 9, 1938 in Palmer, TX, to William Oliver Knowlton and Blanche Estelle Knowlton.
Troy graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1957. He started working for Texas Nameplate Co., Inc. in Dallas as a high school student in 1956 and continued working for them for 58 years, until 2014. He also worked as the main bicycle assembler for Walmart in Balch Springs from 1990 until 2016.
Troy married his wife Letha on July 28, 1967 in Mesquite. The couple had 2 children, Christopher Wayne, who passed away in 2015, and Wendy Marie.
Troy was best known for his quiet demeanor, level head and his old blue pickup truck. Troy also served in the Army from 1962-1964.
Troy is survived by his wife, Letha Knowlton; daughter, Wendy Mickels; granddaughters Alrie Knowlton, Landrie Knowlton, and Sierra Allen; and grandson Rocky Mickels.
Troy is preceded in death by his father, William Knowlton; mother, Blanche Knowlton; sisters Ernestine and Joyce Hicks; brother Tommy Knowlton; and son Christopher Knowlton.
The service for Troy will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation: Friday, April, 1, 2022 at New Hope Funeral Home
A Private Burial will follow the service.
