Vickie Lynne Owen

Vickie Owen, of Terrell, Texas, passed away on December 8, 2022.  She was born on May 17, 1957 to parents James Dee Kennedy, Jr. and Joyce LaVerne McCormick in Dallas, Texas.

She graduated from Lake Highlands High School in 1975 and later married Douglas Owen, Sr. on April 29, 1983.

For the last 15 years, Vickie worked as an Insurance Processor for Aegon U.S.A. Incorporated.  In her spare time she loved to swim, read books, and travel in the R.V..  Her greatest pastime was spoiling her grandkids.

Vickie’s biggest accomplishment was to raise three boys and care for her husband of 39 years, and did so faithfully until she was no longer able and in need of care.

Vickie was preceded in death by her parents James and Joyce Kennedy; and brother Stephen Paul Kennedy.

She is survived by her husband Douglas Ray Owen, Sr.; children Joshua Owen, Brandon Owen, and Douglas Owen, Jr. (wife Amber);  grandchildren Brody and Rayelynne Owen; sister Lisa King (husband Alfie).
