Virginia Smothers, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on June 24, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wade and Margaret Ford; her siblings, Wally Ford and Betty Rouch; and her loving husband of 25 years, Donald Smothers.
Virginia loved her family - most especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren - the theater, golf, gardening, and the Texas Rangers.
She was passionate about her work, founding several businesses. But her true love was building and running Naturtech, working side-by-side with her husband, Don.
Virginia was a firm believer in angels, saying, "they will talk to you, if you will listen". She was always looking for the "God Touch" in everyday life.
Survivors include her sons, Eric Porter and family (Stacy, Tiffani, Brandon, Molly, Luke, and Lincoln), Chris Porter and family (Carol, Claire, and Nicholas), Jason Porter and family (Lindsay and Noah); Don's children, Lauri Anderson, David Smothers, Jennifer Lemmons and their families; Her brother, Bill Ford; and nephews, Paul and David Ford.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to American Valor Foundation or Dallas Children's Theater.
