Viva Louise Sherrell

Viva Louise Sherrell went home to be with the Lord on April 26, 2026. She passed away peacefully with family at her bedside.

Born December 26, 1929 in Arkansas (her happy place), Viva was the oldest of 5 siblings. She met the love of her life while in high school - Bobby Sherrell, and the rest was history. They moved to the Dallas area and resided in Mesquite for many years. Viva was a devoted and loving wife, mother and "Nena" to her grandkids. Full of love and joy, she made home such a warm and special place. Her 4 grandkids were the light of her life, and they all knew that Nena and Papa's house was always the place to be.

Viva is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Bobby; parents Charlie and Vonia Sneed; sisters Charlene and Sue, and brothers Harold and Darrel. She is survived by daughters Linda Sherrell and Cindy Allen, son-in-law Carl Allen, and her 4 wonderful grandkids, Mindy Turner, Marshall Turner, Mallory Allen and Marcy Allen.

A private service with immediate family will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 10:00 am at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas.
