William Adrian (Bill) Murr

MURR, William Adrian (Bill) of Forney, born July 6, 1947, passed away July 23, 2007. He was owner of P & B Murr Electric Co. Preceded in death by mother, Johnnie Murr; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Ward Dance. Survived by wife of 39 years, Patti; father, L. A. Murr & wife, Peggy; sisters, June Nichols & husband, Tommy; Ann Thomas; Mary Selfridge & husband, Kevin; step-sisters, Karen Hendley & husband, Gary Rhonda Lawson & husband, Ronnie, Marian Ray & husband, Randy; step-brothers, Dr. Mike Walker & wife, Julie, Greg Walker & wife, Casey, Eddie Walker; sisters-in-law, Nelda Rhea, Joyce Marshall; brother-in-law, Maurice Dance & wife, Wanda; numerous nieces and nephews; host of friends and loving pets, Buffy & Suzie. Bill was a master electrical contractor.He started his career in 1968 with Murr Brothers Electrical in Dallas.Bill climbed the ladderfrom a journeyman to later he became part owner in the company. In 1995 Bill and his wife Patti started P & B Murr Electric Co. in Forney, where he continued to actively participate until his untimely death. Bill served as a Director in the Forney Home Builders Association in the late 1980's and early 90's.He was instrumental in the planning of the annual Forney Home Builders Chili Cook-off. Bill loved to travel.He and his wife Patti, visited many places including Spain, Jamaica, and Mexico.He loved the beach as he was an avid sun and water worshipper. Bill especially loved going to Tuscon, Arizona.He started going to Tuscon back when he was in high school to visit his 2 sister-in-laws and all his other relatives.He took so much pride in taking his friends to Tuscon where they too could enjoy all the things he loved so much. He has taken one final trip to a place that is far grander than anything on earth, to be with our Lord in heaven. Service will be 1:30PM Thursday July 26, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Sunnyvale, (Main Sanctuary) 3018 N. Belt Line Rd., Sunnyvale, TX. 75182. Pallbearers will be:Al Werning, David Yates, Gary Calvert, Mark Canada, James Gill, Jimmy Gill, Lloyd DuncanHonorary Pallbearers will be:Paul Allen, Jr. and John Crumpley. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Interment will be in Grove Hill Memorial Park,4118 Samuell Blvd., Dallas, Texas.
