William "Billy" Morrison Lawson Jr.

William (Billy) Morrison Lawson, Jr., 69 years of age, of Mesquite, Texas, passed away on February 10, 2021. Billy was born December 20, 1951, in Tucson, Arizona to the late Ruth (Chapman) Lawson and William Morrison Lawson, Sr.

Billy is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 50 years Cindy, son William (Billy) III, grandchildren Baylin Lawson and Bradon Lawson, sister-in-laws Allison Lawson and Caryn Berryman, and brother-in-laws Larry Berryman and Larry Cook, along with three nieces and one nephew.

He is preceded in death by parents Ruth and William Lawson Sr., brother Michael Lawson, and sister-in-law Pat Cook.

Billy’s many interests in life included photography, fishing, and cooking. He also was devoted to animal rescue efforts and spent a lot of his time helping stray or injured animals.

Billy was very supportive of his family and friends throughout his life. He will be greatly missed.
