William Meshkin

December 2, 1937 — May 18, 2022

William Meshkin of Mesquite, Texas passes away May 18, 2022. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 2, 1937, to John and Della Meshkin, He was raised on the family farm near Allegan, Michigan. He started school at the Horseshoe School, a one-room school with eight grades near Grand Junction, Michigan. He went on to Bloomingdale Michigan High School graduating as Valedictorian. He continued his studies at Western Michigan University. He then went to work for Rockwell International Corp where he would spend the next 34 years in various positions retiring in 1993. 

He also served 2 years in the US Army attaining the rank of E5. In 1972 he met the Love of his Life, Margaret who would become Mrs. Margaret Dodd Meshkin on June 2, 1973. He was a Member of First United Methodist Church, Forney, Texas. He was 32nd Degree Mason and Life Member of the Mesquite Texas Masonic Lodge and a Shriner. He was also a Member of the Member of the American Legion and a Life Member of the BPOE Elks Lodge. 

He was preceded in death by his Wife Margaret Meshkin, his parents John and Della Meshkin, Brothers Albert, Raymond, John Jr., Leonard, Ben and Sister Hellen Meshkin. He was also preceded in death by His Stepson Gary Wayne Barnhart and Stepdaughter Shannon Faye Barnhart Shaw. 

He is survived by Grandsons Joshua Shaw, Luke Aaron Shaw, Gary Barnhart II, and Granddaughter Amy Barnhart Tesso and also his sisters Della Meshkin Andrus of Allegan, Michigan, and several Nieces and Nephews.
