William E. Wilbanks Sr.

William Earl Wilbanks, Sr. was born October 15, 1944 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 11, 2021.

William is preceded in death by his parents Aaron and Lula Wilbanks. He is survived by his children, William Wilbanks Jr and wife Wendy Wilbanks, Misty Michael and husband Ken Michael. Mother of his children, Jerrie Wilbanks; Fiancé, Patricia Williams. Grandchildren, Megan Mann and husband Gunner Mann, Justin Michael and wife Madelyn Michael, Colby Wilbanks, Madison Wilbanks, McKinley Michael and Steeli Wilbanks. Great-Grandchildren, Brinlyn Wilbanks and Mavery Mann.

William grew up in Blue Mountain, MS and moved to Texas in 1961. He attended Calvary Tabernacle in Pleasant Grove where he met the mother of his two children in 1962. He worked at Lake June Scrap Metals since 2006, where he loved interacting with his customers. He enjoyed spending time on the lake and had a passion for restoring old cars. He was a loved man, and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

A visitation will be held for William on Wednesday December 15, 2021 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday December 16, 2021 at 10:00AM at North Cities United Pentecostal Church. 502 Belt Line Road Garland, Texas 75040 with interment to follow at New Hope Memorial Gardens in Sunnyvale, Texas.
