Koshy Varghese

September 14, 1959 — March 25, 2023

Koshy Varghese passed away in the early morning hours of March 25th, 2023. Koshy was born on September 14th, 1959 in Calcutta, India to Varghese Koshy and Grace Varghese (Keerikat House). 

He attended Ramaiah University in Bangalore, India, where he received his Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. He would eventually go on to receive three Masters degrees from Texas A&M University Commerce, in Education, Biology, and Psychology. 

He immigrated to the United States alongside his parents and siblings in 1986, and married his bride, Susan on July 29, 1991. In 1995, they welcomed their daughter Alison, and their son, Andrew in 1998. 

Koshy devoted his life to serving those around him. He was a Professor at multiple community college districts, including Dallas, Tarrant, and Collin counties. In addition to this, he served as a Mental Health Liaison through Parkland Hospital at the Dallas County Jail. He always prioritized hard work, taking almost no days off, even having the intention of going to work on the morning of his departure. 

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, and leaves behind his wife Susan, and children, Alison and Andrew. He also leaves behind his siblings; Elizabeth (Beena), Biju, and Thomas (Bobby) Varghese, as well as numerous aunts, uncles,  cousins. 

 He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
